The Massapequ Kiwanis Club Field Of Honor…..The Massapequa Kiwanis Club Field of Honor…. The Massapequa Kiwanis Club along with the Massapequa School District, Plainedge School District and Maria Regina School, honor the men and women who are actively serving, have served or have given the ultimate sacrifice in their military service with a Field of Honor display. The Field of Honor with its sea of red, white and blue includes hundreds of flags that go on display just before Veterans Day and stay through the beginning of December. A special dedication ceremony is held with local officials, veterans and school administrators and students to commemorate the event. Proceeds benefit local charities of the community that are in need of support.
Flag Retirement date is the 1st Saturday of December at all locations.
Flag pickup will be on the 1st Saturday of December from 10am – 12noon & the 2nd Wednesday of December from 7pm – 9pm at the Kiwanis Log Cabin at John J Burns Park, Massapequa.
Unclaimed Sponsor flag will be flown in years to come
Sponsors will receive their 3’x5′ American flag or Military branch flag.
